Balfour Kilpatrick awarded £2.4M Victoria Quay contract
Balfour Kilpatrick has been awarded a £2.4M contract by Dalkia to provide lighting controls replacement for the Scottish government’s Victoria Quay building in Edinburgh.
The refurbishment works includes a new lighting controls system, resulting in a major reduction of the building's carbon footprint with 2,600 less luminaries installed compared with the original building. The design also incorporates daylight sensing and motion detectors throughout the building to stop energy wastage.
The project is due for completion in the summer of 2010.
Balfour Kilpatrick is part of the multi services and power systems business of Balfour Beatty.
